Born in 1952 in Chattanooga, Tennessee,
Steve exhibited a passion and flair for art that has never wavered. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Art History. Following postgraduate work in studio art at the University of Georgia, Steve and his wife, Bronwyn, moved to New York City. While in New York, Steve studied at the Art Students League and had a one-man show at Art Galaxy. With the arrival of their first child nearing, the Hintons moved back to the South and settled in Albany, Georgia, where Steve became the president of Hinton Oil Company. He continued to draw and paint as always.
